Hi!
My name is Anna Darvin Hirsch. I am a relationship counselor and coach working mostly in the Bay Area’s growing open relationship communities. I am also a two-time graduate of Interchange Counseling Institute, a past assistant facilitator with the Interchange faculty, a current candidate for San Francisco State University's master's of science in clinical psychology, and an MFT in training in the state of California. My counseling practice (www.LiveLikeLove.com) fosters more fulfilling relationships across the spectrum of relationship styles, and I work to create more conscious relationships of all kinds.
Important tools in my own growth and development, my own polyamory art and cartoons have been shared around the web for a decade. In 2010, I spoke on polyamory and art as the keynote for a women and gender studies conference in Missouri and my now defunct blogtoon The New PolyAnna has been mentioned multiple times on Polyamory in the News.
Also an editor and a writer, I contributed the first polyamorous voice to Strong Families’ landmark Mama’s Day Our Way celebration to reclaim mother’s day, I edited the forward of Polly Whitaker’s 2014 memoir Polly: Sex Culture Revolutionary, and I am known by some Bay Area circles for my writing on navigating the complexities of multiple relationships and party-going. My current creative projects includewww.PositivelyPolyanna.com and ww.AnnaMadeArt.com, though I am eager to launch a new project in 2016,www.ILoveWhenYouLove.com, intended to uplift people’s stories of overcoming jealousy and to better understand and spread compersion, the joy and love we experience when witnessing the success and happiness of others.
I am also married to my best friend who I have known for ten years and with whom I helped lead the Bay Area’s open relationship community potlucks for two years, and I am in a four-year-long relationship with another married couple with whom I help raise their two sweetheart kiddos.
